For the 2008 season our 1st XI are playing in the newly-formed Division 3 West of the Sussex Cricket League. The team was formerly in Div. 1 of the Sussex Invitation Cricket League, finishing 7th in 2007, 4th in 2006 and Div 2. champions in 2005. We also run a league 2nd XI on Saturday, two Sunday sides, and a new 3rd XI.
We also have a thriving Colts section for young cricketers, this year playing in under 11, under 14 and under 16 age groups in the SCB South Area League, and started a Women and Girls section in 2006.
We welcome new members, both playing and social. If you are interested in joining the club, please contact the Secretary, or the Colts Manager, details on the Contact page ...
Facilities and Location
Henfield Common is a beautiful rural cricket ground, situated on the A281 just to the south-east of the village. Surrounded by woodland and with ample boundary-side parking, there can't be a better place in Sussex to watch or to play club cricket.

The pavilion is steeped in history yet also boasts modern facilities - changing rooms, showers, bar, tv lounge. We have two practice nets, one of which is mobile to allow practice on the square.
About the site
On the site you will find a wealth of information about the club. Upcoming events, news and results will appear on the News Page, and in more detail on the cricket pages for Senior Men, Colts and Women.
In the Records section you will find players' career records going back as far as 1771. Club record partnerships, innings totals, individual achievements. Representative honours for Sussex and other first-class counties are listed. We also have a comprehensive history of cricket at Henfield, and a special feature on Henry Charlwood, who is listed as No.2 on England's list of Test Players, and remains the only Henfield player to have played test match cricket.
All detailed statistics on this site have been researched and compiled by Chris Crampton; many thanks go to Chris, to Geoff Morley, and to all those other people who have compiled statistics each season over the many seasons of the club. The figures would not be here without their efforts. We'll be adding other items of historical interest as we unearth them.
Our site is linked to the ECB network site play-cricket.com, where you will find all of our fixtures, detailed match results and statistics from 2001 onwards, player profiles, a discussion forum and other items of interest. Why not join the ECB site now, if you haven't already?
Any other cricket sites we come across that we think might be of interest to members are listed on the Links page, and there is a full list of Contacts also.
