Colts Dinner and Presentation
The Colts awards evening, held on 29th September, was supported by a large number of colts and their parents, and by a grand supply of sausages and chips from The White Hart. Highlights of the evening were several special presentations:
Firstly, the Under 13 team received their medals for finishing as runners up in the South Area u13 league; well done to you all guys for a marvellous achievement.
We also made a much deserved presentation to Eddie Colgate, who retired as a colts' coach in 2005 after many years service to the under 11s. Eddie is still very active in and around Henfield Cricket Club, making an appearance as an umpire during this season, and we are all very grateful to Eddie for his hard work and dedication.
Finally we were thrilled to receive a fantastic donation of funds from the Shoreham Kayak Club trust. Mr. Alan Scott and his wife Pat were guests for the evening, and presented a cheque to our outgoing Colts' Captain. This will be a huge benefit in developing our youth cricket over the coming few years.

South Area Assessments 2006
Six Henfield players have made the next stage of the Area process after the assessments in September. They will now attend a four week coaching course in November before the squad is announced. Well done to all of you, and do your best; whatever the outcome, you'll benefit from the course. For those who didn't make it, do keep working hard over the winter for next season. The players selected are:
