Graduating Colts ...
For those of you playing U11 cricket, life beyond Colts might seem a long way off. But we'd like to congratulate two recent Colts, Steve Mundy (U16 wicketkeeper/batsman 2005) and Craig Scott (U16 captain 2006) on playing so well in Henfield's 1st XI last weekend. Mark Hopgood (2003) is also a 1st XI regular, Antony Smith (2003) played last season, and Will Culver (current U16 captain) is pushing hard. We're all delighted to see our young players coming through, and you might be the next if you keep working as hard and aiming as high as they have ...
Under 16 Upcoming Events
The U16 social game will take place on the common on Thursday 19th July, starting 18:00. We'll provide bread and cheese etc, and if everyone attending can bring some form of snack, such as a small plate of sandwiches or crisps and dips, we'll have loads of food to go around. Parents are invited of course (if you need any persuasion, the bar will be open), along with siblings. Please could you let Ken know by MONDAY 16th if you will be coming, and how many. There MAY be a possibility of parents joining in with the cricket, depending on numbers, so parents please do indicate if you'd like to be available for that.
Two new fixtures to note:
26th July - 20/20 v Steyning at home, 18:00;
9th August - all day v Steyning away, time tba
More to follow.
3rd XI
You may have seen that we are starting a 3rd XI this year, which will provide many more opportunities for Colts to play in the longer matches with adults on Sundays. Any Colts who would like to be considered for any Sunday cricket, please put your names in the availability book by the kitchen counter, or speak to Conway or Ken.

Colts Area Cricket
Congratulations to U11s Jake Fieldsend and Daniel Stokes, who have been playing for the combined Sussex South/East areas in the festival through May, and by all accounts playing very well. Well done; we're proud of you - report to come.
