Our continuing collaboration with friends at Steyning produced a fine win in the WillowStix 8-a-side league against Littlehampton on Sunday 6th June. Batting first George Hodson and Liz James were dominant scoring 60 and 46 respectively in a total of 131-2, backed up by Di White with 10*. And in reply both George (3-17) and Claire Scale (3-26) were in the wickets, Carolyn Scott completing the victory with a run out and a catch in the final over with 6 runs needed. Catching was excellent, and backed up by tight bowling (only 14 wides). Brilliant stuff everyone.
